DUES
Students must pay dues to attend. This
includes new students who did not pay dues as juniors. Dues are
currently $100 for all juniors and seniors who did not pay last
year. Dues will be raised on April 21st to $150.
Dues payments will no longer be accepted after Thursday, April
24th! THIS INCLUDES THE NIGHT OF PROM, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!
Should you still need to pay your dues, you will need to bring a
CHECK OR MONEY ORDER payable to Parkview High School to Ms.
Spivey in room 1.214 (before or after school).
DATE TICKETS
Any Parkview junior or senior, who is
planning to bring a date that is not a Parkview student or is an
underclassman, must buy a ticket for their date. The cost is
$30 (non-refundable). These tickets will be sold in the
cafeteria before school April 21 – 25 and in the cafeteria after
school April 21-April 24. THERE WILL BE NO DATE TICKET SALES
AFTER SCHOOL ON FRIDAY, APRIL 25!!! Check & Money Order
only please (made payable to Parkview High School).
INVITATIONS
Each student who has paid his or her junior
dues should have received an invitation in guided study. The
invitation is a memento only and is not necessary
for admittance into the prom. A master list will be used at the
registration desk to check students in. Each student will
register individually—not as a couple. Additionally, every
student must have a PHOTO ID with them upon check in at prom.
If you did not receive an invitation, and you have a copy of
the contribution’s sheet that was prepared during fall
registration, please see Ms. Spivey in room 1.214.
DIRECTIONS (from Hwy. 78)
Take I-85 South, towards Atlanta (approximately 12.8 miles) to
the Cheshire Bridge Road/Lenox Road exit, Exit 88. Turn right
onto Lenox Road at the bottom of the exit ramp. Go 2 miles to
Peachtree Road and turn left. Then turn left at the second
traffic light. The Westin Buckhead hotel will be on your
right.
PARKING
If you are driving your own car, you should
self-park for $8. Parking can be paid for with cash
or credit card. Take the elevator from the parking deck to
the motor lobby (it is “ML” on the elevators) of the hotel.
When you enter the hotel, the parking services desk will be on
your left. Students are strongly encouraged to stop at
parking services and pay for parking before checking-in at the
prom. Parking services will give you a validated parking
ticket that you will need in order to get out of the parking
garage when leaving the prom.
If you are planning to rent a limousine,
please check out the company’s references. Review the contract
carefully before signing.

DRESS
Appropriate formal wear only. Please use
good judgment in selecting acceptable clothing. Regular suits
for males are also acceptable
REMINDER
This is a school function and all
school rules apply to Parkview students and their
dates (even if they do not attend high school).
Anyone leaving the prom after check-in will
not be allowed to return unless you are there before 8 p.m. to
have your pictures taken.
The Prom King and Queen will be announced
at 10:00 p.m. If you have been nominated, please be at the
prom by 9:45.
Food this year will be assorted desserts,
fresh fruits, water and soft drinks.
If you are planning to go to dinner before
the prom, it would be wise to make reservations for an early
time. Many students have spent three hours or more at a
restaurant and were only able to dance for a short time.
COAT CHECK
There will be no area for coat check
available this year. Students are asked to consider this
when bringing items such as tuxedo jackets and purses into prom.
PICTURE CHOICES AND INFORMATION
Pictures will begin at 5 p.m. Students
have the option of coming to have pictures taken before dinner.
Come early to avoid the wait.
Payment for the pictures must be made at
the prom. Cash or check (made payable to Andrew Watson
Photography) will be accepted.
