Fashion Marketing
(Prerequisite:
None)
Year-long course. This course
describes the environment in which
fashion thrives, introduces the
basic elements of fashion and
presents methods of promotion,
selling and coordination.
Marketing
Internship
(Prerequisite:
Approval by Ms. Davis)
Students apply their marketing
skills while training part-time in a
marketing related job. They must
work at least 15 hours per week in a
marketing business.
Marketing Lab
(Prerequisite:
Any Marketing Course and Approval by
Ms. Davis)
Experience in retail applications by
operating the marketing lab, The
Jungle Exchange. Responsibilities
include sales, customer service,
inventory, display, promotion,
maintenance and delivery.
Marketing Principles
(Prerequisite: Approval by Ms.
Davis)
Introduces the marketing concept,
the marketing mix, channels of
distribution, current marketing
trends, and selling as a profession.
Provides an overview of the total
Marketing program and provides
employment opportunities in
marketing.
Promotion
(Prerequisite: Marketing Principles
and Practices)
Emphasizes the various methods used
to promote goods and services.
Advertising, media selection,
display techniques, ad layout, and
the basic steps in selling are
explored. Students must apply their
knowledge to promotion projects.
