Grades for ALL English, Math, Science, Social Studies and Foreign Language count in determining the Hope GPA.   This includes the Social Studies electives.   Strong performance in a Social Studies elective helps boost an ailing GPA.  

Advanced Placement Social Studies Classes

The 10 quality points added to the final AP grade is taken away in calculating the Hope GPA. However, a 0.5 quality point weight will be added back for AP courses up to a 4.0.
