Cutting Edge
Technology: Supersonic Aircraft |
Introduction:
From prehistoric man and his torch of fire to the current
supercomputer age, mankind has been reliant upon the development
of more current and efficient technologies to both aid in
survival and facilitate life. One of the main facets of
technology in our lives today is the transportation of numerous
amounts of products, and actual human passengers. Faster
transportation is becoming a near necessity in our transient
world; consumers are looking for better ways to travel and
conduct business. A quick means of transport means happier
consumers and better efficiency overall. Recent Supersonic
research has made this vision a reality, which will witness the
production of the planes within the next decade. Supersonic
aircrafts of old had been applied to military uses and human
transportation as its primary applications and now have
gradually been improved. Using these planes cuts down the time
of transportation significantly. The inability to ignore the
exceedingly loud sonic boom that materializes during the flight,
creates the main reason why these planes are not allowed to fly
over land for any purpose except military operations, and even
then rarely. Due to the nature of this complication the use of
these supersonic aircrafts have been halted in recent commercial
use. New research that minimizes the sound the sonic boom
creates has reopened an exciting exploration of technological
advancements for supersonic planes. Dynamic new designs are now
what is considered cutting edge technology.
