
Match Summaries for 2009:
Congratulations to the lady panther tennis team for defeating Duluth 3-1. Cara Motz had a hard fought match at #1 singles against a girl who was ranked 75 in southeast. Her set score was 3-6, 5-7. At the #1 doubles spot, it was quite a blowout! Megan Nelms and Rebecca Streich annihilated their opponents causing them to scream out on many occasions. The won 6-1, 6-3. At the #2 singles spot, Jordan DeArmon was up a set 6-4 and on serve 4-5 when she had to quick because of no lights. Jordan was well on her way to victory. At the #2 doubles spot, Parkview won with Anna Fluevog and Amanda Bantug. They totally handcuffed their opponents, giving them no opportunities to even score points, much less games. They won 6-0, 6-1. The match of the day was at #3 singles with Alex Vagasi frustrating the snot out her opponent and winning 6-4, 7-5. She totally took away all of her opponents strengths by breaking her down and wearing her out. Playing an exhibition match for the lady panthers was Kristin Miller and Janet Detweiler. The lost 6-8, but fought a tough match for their first time out on varsity. Please come out on Feb. 19 @ PHS to watch more tennis action.
