Volunteer Parkview
Who We Are:
Volunteer Parkview, formerly the Interact Club, is
a community service organization on campus devoted to making a difference in our
school, our community, and our world. This group is open to all Parkview
students—there are no membership requirements. Students do not have to maintain
a certain gpa, be in a certain grade, or complete a certain number of service
hours.
To sign up for projects, come to our monthly
meeting (the third Thursday) or see Ms. Henderson in room 11.103.

Special Project--children's book collection for Africa:
The first week of December (3-7),
Volunteer Parkview coordinated a contest between guided-study classes
to see who can collect the most new (or gently used) children's books to donate
to Ethiopia Reads, an organization dedicated to publishing children's books in
Amharic (the official language of Ethiopia) and creating free libraries in
Ethiopia, including a "Donkey Mobile Library" that visits remote villages. The
organization receives no assistance from the Ethiopian government. More
than 1,500 books were collected that week!!!!
