Welcome to Parkview! I hope you’ll find our web site informative and helpful. Parkview High School focuses on academic achievement. The academic success of our students is complimented by our achievements in athletics and extra-curricular activities. When I walk into our cafeteria, I continue to get a thrill looking at the State Championship Banners in academics and athletics. These achievements did not “just happen.” It takes hard work to become a champion and even harder work to remain one. I’m proud to say this is what Parkview does best! Our motto is “Tradition, Pride, Success.” These are key words for champions and we must remember them as we move forward into the new school year. Parkview High School is a great school! Our achievement test scores are always at or near the top. For the past 3 years, almost 85% of our students who took Advanced Placement exams scored a 3 or higher. Parkview had the highest ACT composite score in the school district which was 23.6. Our student attendance average is 96% which means our young people enjoy attending school. In a recent survey, 95% of parents agreed or strongly agreed that their child’s school was safe and secure.Parkview has been selected by Newsweek Magazine (May, 2007) as being in the Nation’s |

top 5% of high schools. Atlanta Magazine (January, 2007) has selected Parkview for being in the “High Achievers” category for the best high schools in the Atlanta Area. Parkview was recognized in the following categories: · Schools with the most Governor’s Honors Program Finalists · Schools with the most Math Awards · Schools with the most Science Awards · Most recognized schools in Math and Science · Most recognized schools earning Journalism and Literary Magazine Awards · Baseball, Football, Boys and Girls Soccer, Boys Swimming and Diving, Wrestling, and Georgia Athletic Directors Cup Winners These and other achievements at Parkview could not take place without the great support from the Parkview Community.
