Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to Parkview High School and the
2011-2012 school year. The start of a new school year is always an
exciting time. There are new opportunities and challenges for
everyone. As we begin the year, I would encourage you to seek out
new opportunities and ways to become involved at Parkview. Studies
show that students who are actively engaged and involved in
extracurricular activities perform better academically and have a
more positive school experience. We have over 100 clubs,
organizations, and athletic teams that are available to our
students. I encourage you to find a group
that interests you, get
involved, and make a difference.
Parkview has a long history of academic
success, and I am confident we will continue to build on that
success this school year. Challenge yourself in the classroom by
taking rigorous classes that demand your best. Be an active
participant in class, and make academics your number one priority.
We are fortunate in that we
have an experienced and dedicated teaching staff that will support
you in your academic endeavors. Rely on your teachers for guidance
and encouragement as you strive to reach your goals.
Thank you for your continued support of our
teachers and academic programs. Working together we will continue to
build on the tradition, pride, and success that make Parkview “the
best high school in the nation.”
Sincerely,
David T. Smith
Principal
