Course Description: This is a two-semester course that studies specific past events, persons and cultures that influenced the current world in which we live. The class will be taught and student progress assessed in accordance with the attached Gwinnett County Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) guidelines.

Grading Procedures:
Daily Class and Home Work 50%
Unit Exams, Written Assessments and Quizzes 30%
Gwinnett County Final Exam 20%
(Finals: 12% multiple choice; 8% performance essay)
Scale:
90 to 100 A
80 to 89 B
74 to 79 C
70 to 73 D
below 70 Failure
