This is only a suggested outline of journals and
artifacts you MUST have. I can only give you some direction and
suggestions on how to proceed with your journal, but you need to take
ownership of this project for it to have any value. Extra credit (up to
30 points) will be awarded for memory books that exceed the basic
requirements. There is no “assigned topic” – feel free to write about
things that are meaningful to you!

• “My College Plans” (with a school / career-related artifact)
Section 2: Growing Up… (early childhood and
elementary school)

Topic suggestions: most vivid childhood memory, cute things my
parents tell me I did when I was young, things that confused me, what I
was scared of, the kids I played with before I went to school, my
hometown, first friend, my neighborhood
Section 3: Becoming a Teenager

• Journal #6 / Artifact #6
Topic suggestions: changing friendships, flirtations, first
romances, changing relationships, new interests, new responsibilities
Section 4: High School
• Journal #7 / Artifact #7

• Final Reflection (“goodbye letter”)
Topic suggestions: Favorite class, favorite teacher, role models,
best after school activity, doing it over again, what am I glad I did,
what was good about your senior year, one relationship you will keep
forever
