Hi! I am a Special Education Resource Teacher, and I've been teaching here at Parkview since January, 1984. Prior to coming to Parkview, I taught at Lawrenceville Middle School, Lilburn Elementary School, and Columbia Elementary School in DeKalb County. |

|
I graduated from Gordon High School in DeKalb County. I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Special Education from Georgia State Univerity. I earned my Educational Specialist Degree in Special Education from the University of Georgia. I became a Certified Level 1 Wilson Reading Teacher in 2001, and added Certification in Level II A & B in 2003. In 2004, I became National Board Certified as an Early Childhood through Young Adulthood Exceptional Needs Specialist. I was selected as Parkview's Teacher of the Year for 2005. I am currently pursuing certification as a Wilson Reading System Trainer to train other teachers in this program. |

I am married to Don who is a chief financial officer for a local manufacturing company. I have two children, two stepchildren, two wonderful daughters-in-law, and I am the proud grandmother of four (three boys and 1 girl). |

Don and I work out with a personal trainer two or three times per week. In our leisure time, we enjoy traveling, especially to the beach. When I am not busy playing "Grandma", I enjoy reading and doing needlework. |
