Objective:
- To use the following curriculum along with various supplemental materials
to meet the individual educational goals for each student per their IEP in
the area of Social Studies.
Curriculum:
- United States Government by AGS
- and various other supplemental materials
Grading System:
- Students will be graded on a point system. The points will be decided upon
based on the length, difficulty, and importance of the assignment. The
student’s grade will be determined by the number of items answered
correctly out of the total number of times in the assignment. For example,
13 questions are answered correctly out of 15 total items = 13/15 points.
Total points earned will be divided by the total possible points for each
grading period.
Make-Up Work:
- According to policy, students have 5 days for every day missed to make up
any missed work. Tests, quizzes, and projects must be made up after school.
Expectations:
- 1. The student is expected to participate in all classroom activities. The
student is expected to observe and demonstrate the rules of common courtesy
in class.
- 2. The student is expected to bring his/her PHS Agenda Book or a Student
Organizer to class each day.
- 3. The student is expected to bring necessary materials to class each day
(pen, pencil, highlighter, notebook paper, and notebook).
Attendance: Attendance will be dealt with in accordance to the policies
and procedures
stated in the PHS Agenda book.
