Meet Mrs. Roy

I have been teaching at Parkview since 1999.  I was born in Alabama, which explains the fact that I am a big Alabama fan!  Roll Tide!  I moved to Atlanta in seventh grade.  I graduated from Brookwood High School in 1991.  I then attended Georgia State University and graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts with a Teaching Certification in Broadfield Social Studies. I earned my Masters Degree of Education with a specialization in Integrating Technology in the Classroom in 2004.  I have obtained my AP World History certification, and my gifted certification.

I am a member of Lawrenceville church of Christ in Lawrenceville, Georgia.  I currently live in Lawrenceville. I am happily married to Chris Roy, Central Gwinnett's JV Boy's Basketball Coach and Assistant Varsity Boy's Basketball Coach. We have six nieces and nephews whom we love very much!  I enjoy reading, shopping, horseback riding, and hanging out with good friends.

Teaching high school is a true passion for me.  I adore my job more and more everyday.  The students are the highlight of my career and make my career choice the best one for me.  I love their wit, humor, attitudes and character.  I have met some of the most wonderful students at Parkview, that I know will go on to great achievements in life.

Students, please feel free to email me at home in the evenings and on weekends from the link on the homepage or at school during the day.  Parents, feel free to email me at school anytime.  I will respond to all contact as soon as possible.  My phone number at Parkview is (770)806-3829.
