In the area of Math, each student is provided with learning experiences that teach basic computational skills, money skills, time and time duration skills, functional Math application skills.
OBJECTIVE:  Students will participate in learning activities, using the LCCE curriculum, along with various supplemental materials, that increase their ability to solve problems involving everyday functional Math skills, as dictated by the goals and objectives of their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).  

CURRICULUM:

  • Life Centered Career Education (LCCE) curriculum
  • Mastering Math (Steck-Vaughn)
  • SRA Mathematics Laboratory 2a
  • Multiple supplemental materials are used as appropriate

GRADING SYSTEM:
All classroom assignments, including all tests, are averaged equally on a 100% point system.  Extra credit is given for completing homework assignments and for class participation.

MAKE-UP WORK:
In accordance with school policy, when a student has an excused absence,  they must make up work within 5 days of missing the assignment.  If assignments are not completed within the allotted time, a "0" will be given. 

EXPECTATIONS:
  Students are expected to:
       1.  participate in all classroom activities
       2.  bring all needed materials to class each day
       3.  practice skills at home and in the community
       4.  observe all classroom, school and county rules

ATTENDANCE:
The attendance policy of Parkview High School will be adhered to strictly.
