Diary Entries
Write five diary entries from one character’s
perspective. Each entry should be half
a page long and describe the character’s feelings about different events in the
play.
2.
Famous Lines
Pick five of your favorite lines from the play and
illustrate them with art.
3.
Letters from Citizens
Write three letters from “several citizens” (in
different styles of writing so they look like they are from different people)
that Cassius sent to Brutus. Make each
letter as persuasive as possible, following Cassius’ plan.
4.
Newspaper Front Page
Create a newspaper cover page from 44 BCE reporting
the death of Julius Caesar. Include the
main story and other articles, such as the weather, fashion, society or entertainment,
and advertisements.

Design
three costumes for the characters in the play.
You may use either Elizabethan or Roman dress. Draw your designs in color.
(b)
Make
a mask of a character’s face to show that character’s emotions. You also need
to turn in a paragraph telling what scene the mask represents.

Soliloquy
Memorize and present a soliloquy from the play to
the class (at least 15 lines).

Write in response to Caesar’s assassination. Do you believe the conspirators were right,
or do you think they made a mistake?
Pick a side and defend it with valid supporting evidence from the
play. Be sure to refute opposing
arguments and close by asking for the reader’s support.
9.
Comparison Paper
Watch the movie version of Julius Caesar and
write a comparison/contrast paper. The
paper should be at least 1 ˝ pages typed (12 point, double-spaced) and should
include as many specific details as possible—how were the movie and the
original play similar? How were they
different? Do you think the movie did
the play justice? Why or why not? Do you think the characters were well cast?
