Poetry Unit – 10th grade – Collections 8, 9
& 10
Each of you will choose one of the poems from the following
list. You must read the poem and anything you can find out about the poem from
your textbook, other books, or the Internet. You will present the poem to the
class, discussing its theme/ message, any literary devices it incorporates, its
rhyme scheme, etc. In essence, you will teach the poem to the class! You
may incorporate any technology (video, Power point presentation, etc) you have
access to as long as it is professionally done and it is not your entire
presentation, which means you must actually talk during your presentation. You
may use whatever props will facilitate your teaching (no food). I will give you
one day in class to work on your presentation. If you have any questions, please
see me before the day of your presentation.
