Technology at Parkview is
an integral part of the daily lives of students and staff. Each
department has integrated its use into the learning and teaching
activities as a natural part of the curriculum. It is ever
changing though and the following is a snapshot of what is currently
available.
- All classrooms and administrative offices are networked with
Gwinnett County Schools servers and services including high speed Internet
access.
- All classrooms have high speed
wireless connections
- All faculty, administrators and clerical staff have e-mail (Lotus
Notes).
- All students and staff have unique logins to the network and
provided with network file storage space.
- All classrooms and offices have TV’s - many with DVD/VCR's.
- School information is available online through an extensive Internet
web site www.parkview.net.
- Technology is supported school wide by a Technology Support Team
consisting of a Local School
Technology Coordinator (LSTC), a Technology Support Technician
(TST), a media specialist and a
media clerk.

- 1000+ computers
- 271 laptops – 4 wireless carts with 16 laptops each
- 740 desktop workstations
- Multiple large network printers for progress reports and
large print jobs
- 235+ desktop printers
- 17 computer labs/media (510 computers): Interdisciplinary
(Productivity) labs, Business Education, Art, Technology
Education.
- Media Center: 42 computers, 2 large color printers, CD
burners, DVD burner, LCD projectors & digital cameras available
for checkout
- 5 Foreign Language listening labs
- LCD projectors ceiling mounted in every lab
- Classrooms have either ceiling mounted LCD projectors
or large LCD television/monitors.
- Many classrooms have Smartboards
- New Broadcast Journalism studio, located next to the media
center
- Wireless access available in every building
